Anthony Griffin, the M.D of Pale Blue Dot® Recruitment is gearing up with other business leaders to spend twelve hours sleeping rough in Galway city on the night of Friday, 6th December to raise awareness and funds for COPE Galway’s homeless services.
In 2018, COPE Galway supported 949 adults and 457 children in finding and keeping long-term housing and preventing homelessness within our community. The COPE Galway Sleep Out is the local organization’s biggest annual fundraising event. To date it has generated more than €657,500 for the charity’s homeless services since its modest beginnings in 2012, when five participants raised €4,000.
COPE Galway is a local Galway Organization whose vision is an “Improved Quality of Life in a Home of your Own” for people affected by homelessness, women and children experiencing domestic abuse, and older people.
Anthony added “Homelessness in Ireland is at unprecedented levels. Over 10,000 men, women and children are currently experiencing homelessness in Ireland. Our goal is to raise much needed funds for Cope and bring awareness to this crisis in Galway and across Ireland.”
