Pale Blue Dot® Recruitment announce continued Partnership with Cope Galway for 2021

Pale Blue Dot ® Recruitment has partnered with COPE Galway once more as their primary partner charity for 2021. COPE Galway is a local Galway organisation whose vision is for a community where every person is valued, cared for and supported at every stage of life. COPE Galway understands, respects and responds to the needs of people who struggle with the challenges of homelessness and domestic abuse; the organisation also supports older people in healthy and active ageing.

Managing Director, Anthony Griffin of Pale Blue Dot® Recruitment commented, “Playing a role in the community and supporting local is something that Pale Blue Dot® Recruitment holds very highly. We are delighted to announce that this is our 3rd year supporting COPE Galway who provide so many services to people who need help in our local community.”

During 2020 the charity had to adapt its services in response to the current pandemic; reconfiguring operations to create safer environments for clients and introducing new services to help reduce isolation, loneliness and stress such as virtual homework clubs for children of families supported via homeless services and a telephone befriending service for older people.

WWF is the world’s leading independent conservation organisation.

“It’s been a year we’ll never forget. Even before the challenges of COVID-19, Australia was hit hard by bushfires during summer 2019-20 – the most catastrophic bushfire season ever experienced in the country’s history. So much was lost, and the impacts will be felt for years to come.

Up to 19 million hectares were burnt, with 12.6 million hectares primarily forest and bushland. 33 lives were lost and around 3,094 homes destroyed.

Early in January, WWF estimated that at that time, 1.25 billion animals had been killed. As the fires raged well into March, and destroyed even more habitat, we had a scientific duty to update that figure to understand the true impact on our wildlife and natural landscapes.” (Source: https://www.wwf.org.au/what-we-do/bushfires#gs.oq9dsf)

In January of 2020 , Pale Blue Dot® Recruitment committed to addressing the impact of the Australian Bushfires by donating $50AUD to the the WWF’s Australian Wildlife and Nature Recovery Fund for every full-time permanent professional placement with our Clients.

Today, Pale Blue Dot® Recruitment donated over $1000 AUD to the WWF.
